An Approach of
Care & Precision

A good product begins long before it reaches your home.

Effective scalp health demands precision, starting with Ashanti Lation’s 20 years of international experience—working with textured hair, understanding different styling histories, and seeing where everyday routines fall short. That professional perspective guides the questions behind our products: What does your hair need? What should this formula do? And what evidence supports the promise?

01

Shaped by Experience

We start by understanding the hair—not choosing the ingredients.

Your texture is only part of the picture. Chemical processing, heat, styling tension, and the way you care for your hair between appointments all matter. Your hair is the starting point. Experience shapes what comes next.

Two decades behind the chair brings those details into focus. It helps us distinguish a need for cleansing from a need for conditioning, and fragile lengths from concerns that call for professional evaluation.

Before a product earns a place in your routine, it needs a clear job.

02

Formulation

Every ingredient needs a reason to be there.

You should be able to understand what is in your product—and why it belongs.

In the GREAUX system, that means 3 formulas with different responsibilities. The Drops contain hydrolyzed wheat and soy proteins. The Conditioner contains hydrolyzed silk. Both Shampoo and Conditioner contain panthenol, or pro-vitamin B5.

These choices bring different conditioning ingredients into different steps. The goal is not the longest ingredient list. It is a formula that makes sense for its intended use.

03

Validation

Professional experience informs the decision.
It does not replace measured proof.

We separate 3 kinds of evidence: ingredient research, professional assessment, and finished-product testing. Each answers a different question; none should be presented as another. The distinction matters.

Ingredient Research

What do we know about what goes into the formula?

Research helps explain an ingredient’s role. Panthenol, or pro-vitamin B5, has demonstrated hair-strength benefits in laboratory testing. Results depend on concentration and formulation; ingredient research alone does not prove a finished product’s performance. What this tells you: there is a scientific rationale behind an ingredient choice. It does not establish results for the finished LATION product.

Professional Assessment

Does the product make sense for the hair—and the routine? Considering application, slip, rinsing, and fit within your routine. Professional assessment adds practical insight, not clinical proof. What this tells you: experienced judgment can assess usability and suitability. It does not replace measured evidence of effectiveness.

Finished-Product Testing

What does the exact formula you buy actually do?

Finished-product testing evaluates the complete formula—not simply an ingredient that appears on its label. Testing the complete formula can measure outcomes such as breakage, combing force, or scalp hydration. Meaningful results identify what was tested, how, and for how long—and distinguish measured improvements from what participants simply noticed. What this tells you: a result applies to the formula, conditions, and outcome actually tested—not every possible benefit.

The same formulas used on leading clients. Made available to you

The distinction is simple: LATION is not a product inspired by industry professionals – it is used & proven by industry professionals.

A formula has to do more than look good on an ingredient list. It has to perform in the hands of a professional.

LATION’s products are evaluated through Ashanti’s work with her salon and celebrity clientele—where application, manageability, finish, and compatibility with the styling routine matter. That hands-on experience helps determine what earns a place in the collection.

05

Production

Professional experience behind the decisions. Clear information behind yours.

You should be able to understand what is in your product—and why it belongs.

The formula is only part of what reaches you.

The bottle, the amount it dispenses, and the directions all affect how you use a product.

Moving into production means bringing those details together with the formula. A scalp serum needs packaging suited to scalp application. A rinse-out conditioner needs directions that make its role clear.

The standard is consistency: a product you can understand, use as directed, and confidently make part of your routine.
